How far have Games Visuals Come from 2012 til Now?

This was fueld by that drive club thread. but when i saw this i was like this is probably the best example you can have of how far tech has come in that amt of time. its the little things. a lot more trees (more ram, faster ram, faster bus speeds, faster processor(more cores..more cores being used properly when computing..same goes for the ram chips.
That lens flare is getting real close to realistically blinding you for a moment.

"Next gen" graphics are a big leap. Even on PC games that are built with new technology/techniques look allot better than before.

I've been playing Grid Autosport maxed out on PC and it doesn't look better than Forza 5. Grid is held back because it was built with last gen hardware in mind
