The reason why I'm asking the question is because I've worked for a couple of companies where people were told to "watch" me. Now I'm a laid back, smart, and quiet person, but I seem to continue to run into this problem. The only thing that I'm guilty of is coming to work on time, busting my ass at work, and being exceptional at my job duties. I really don't know how to handle working under conditions like this so I'm asking the question here to see where people's heads' are when it comes to work.

My manager does things wrong all the time. I just go along with it. If they ask me, I say I don't know and point them in his direction. I just follow orders.
I fukking hate my job, but they are ethical so I stay until I find a better one.
I legit left an organization on ethical grounds. They were doing very unethical research, I brought it up, nothing was done, so I left immediately. I could not support or be a part of that research under any circumstances. I was broke for a few months, but my integrity remained intact.

I'll just leave the job and work at the family business till I get another one.

I've been through enough in my life to know if I lose it all today I'll bounce right back. I've hit rock bottom before and wouldn't be afraid of it again.
