How hard is it to beat inflation (sales, value menu, etc)

I see deals and sales for almost all the popular products and of course knock off brands..I mean in the last 10 years seems like just gas really went up and dumb things like milk...but for the most part you can live basically the same with the same money...a 20 dollar bill gets me the same amount of stuff it did 10 years ago...chips are still 99 cents..etc...what's the deal with inflation..I dont really see it when we have so many options...but then again mayb the coli doesn't buy things on sale ..thats why minimum wage going up does matter...u get more options..u can choose to spend ur money better and buy more things

Things with already inflated prices won't see an increase for a long time. Soda at a fast food restaurant, for example. They charge us... I dunno $1.00 for something that costs them $0.04, so there's still a big margin of profit there.
Anything else has gone up in price.
