Depends on how good of a blocker the long snapper needs to be. Everyone thinks they're NFL material till they get crippled on a Special Teams play

Most NFL longsnappers can play 2 or 3 positions in a pinch and must be good blockers/tacklers if the play goes bad.

Specifically failed linemen who failed because theyre small. Half the job is running down the field to cover and you cant be 6'5 310 doing it.
