i had the first few season on dvd it was at a discount and I caught a handful of this show on syndication but man did they have to give the mom the saddest fu.ckin story on the whole show, her man dies in 2006 and she doesn't date anyone tilll 2011 and the guy propose and she blows him off...

Monday night's episode was actually pretty good, but am I the only one who feels the Ted's interactions with the mother in these flash forwards are really disingenuous?

Most of them don't have any context. and they're way too saccharine. It feels like the writers are trying to hammer the point in our head, "Okay, this is the mother. Ted loves her, which is why he has to keep saying it in every scene they're in together. She's totally not a consolation prize for not getting Robin."

fukk this lazy ass writing. Its 5 episodes left in the series and they've made it to where i give no fukks anymore. Damn near every episode this season but 2 were pointless and filler. How do you have that much filler in a final season?
