Take Kanye, Drake, Kendrick, Stalley, and couple of these other post 2000 rappers, while they make great music(I guess). Their voices are borderline annoying to me.

I just can't listen to their music for too long, their voices are weak, screechy, and just whiny. Don't get me wrong not all rappers from back then had great voices either. But it was few and far between.

It's just something i've notice more and more with this generation of rappers. it drives me crazy.

The voice is the instrument of the body. If the tone / color / timbre / dynamics / pitch are unpleasant to the listener, it doesn't matter how dope the lyrics / multis / story is / are.

If a guy is a dope chalkboard scratcher, you're still gonna not f*ck with his craft, regardless of his acumen.

PG County and Jax
its very important.

I myself like boosie, but thats always the top reason I hear people say they cant rock with him.

personally, i think Jeezy's voice is perfect for rap and the beats he picks.

it's a factor, you can rhyme like Nas & Tech N9ne mixed together but if you sound like Magoo then you're probably not gonna get any burn with me

Very important. All the true greats have great voices, instantly recognizable. Biggie, Nas, Rakim, method man, Raekwon, Ghostface to name a few of my favorite voices. Dope voice + flow and you can get by IMO.

It's right up there with Flow & Delivery as being one of the most important attributes you NEED to have as an MC...If you look at the biggest rap acts in history...they had powerful, unique or standout rap voices...Pac, Big, Snoop, Jay, DMX, Dre, Em, Face, Cube, Eazy, Bone etc...It can be a dealbreaker on whether i even choose to listen your music or not...i'd rather listen to a rapper with a great rap voice, flow & delivery and terrible lyrics and MC skills...than a guy with great lyrics and MC skills but has an awful rap voice, flow and delivery.
