I love learning about culture. It helps explain things that seem weird, but it also helps kind of understand some deep philosphies that existed or evolved. You can see how it even shapes "logical" things, like engineering in the USA vs Germany vs Japan are all different. Or the "Work to live vs Live to work" cultural difference between East Asia, America, and Europe.
But there's also so much to learn. What if you're a little different than what your culture expects, but some other culture has experience in that particular thing, its a learning opportunity that you can bring back to your environment and help enrich. Or even thing like food.
Overall, I find it a shame that we look at differences and automatically villainize cultures because of them. There's so many experiences in this world and our lives will only take us through very specific situations, which makes me value cultural differences.
