HOW in the hell was Pac better than Nas at rapping?

How are jewelry and fury not slant rhymes though? The stressed syllables rhyme, but are not identical.

I never said that multis are exclusive to elite lyricists.

i know u did not word it that way but u implied it because most people myself included considered pac a top 5 mc not just offline but on this board

with that said the fact that u implied that nas uses more slant rhyming and more multis then pac without providing any evidence and also when i provided many examples in this thread on how i think pac is more complex with rhyming then nas tells me that is what u was trying to say.

also jewelry and fury are not true slant rhymes because jewelry and fury don't even have the same first syllable sounds tecchnically speaking and also they have different consonants and also nas bent the word to make it sound similar or in this case exactly the same.

with perfect rhyming u have to have the same syllable sound and the same consonants and with slant rhyming u have to have similar consonants.

Notice I never even discussed the breakdown or meaning of the lyrics. I'm talking about the technique. You think Nas is wack. I get it. What I don't get is what exactly are you arguing. All I said was one was more complex, not necessarily meaning better.

The only words that rhyme in what you posted are "that" and "back" and it's the stress on the vowel "a" that's rhymed.

that and back are not perfect rhymes they are slant rhymes first off second
cu-ri-ous the third syllable in curious rhymes with kick not perfectly but they sound similar.

I didn't imply it that way. I think I've posted in this thread that I think Nas and Pac both took similar approaches to lyricism and that in a lot ways I think they are equal, but Nas is more complex. It was something to that effect. Both Pac and Nas are in my Top 5.

I will admit that my understanding of slant rhyming is lacking.

If you cant do it, you should just admit you were mistaken and that at the very least Pac was as technical as naS. I have already thrown your examples in the bushes. I dont have to like what you post, I also dont like much Tech 9, but I can recognize his skills. I dont like naS, but I can recognize he pens great stories (except Rewind, that shyt was garbo).
