Any tips of tricks before I jump into this?

I’m not a gamer but I have cursory tastes/browses and am starting an initiative to purposefully get through some mission-ish based games.

Sounds like a lot of shooting! Is it scary ( I am terrified of Resident Evil)

Are you afraid of skinheads?

suspend disbelief and think of the game as a puzzler…I didn’t like it at first but it became one of my favorite games of 2021

So I have to "figure it out" as I go? My fav goat is Metal Gear series, so if it's similar should be a gooood time. Cool.

no that’s where I fukked up…I went into it with a stealth/action game mindset and it’s more so a stealth/puzzler…if you have time I’ll bump the hitman 3 thread…I had never played any of them so I ended up getting all 3…started off the thread not liking it at all but loved it by the time I finished it and wanted more…currently waiting for them to drop all the DLC missions before I return to it

*edit*

nvm it’s a 16 pg thread :mjlol:

just check the game out and see if you like it

It’s not that similar to metal gear solid

MGS is more of a stealth action game, this is more of a stealth puzzle game. Limited move sets, more about thinking about how to do things in a certain order

the shooting is horrible in this game by design…as someone told me if you use your gun you’re doing it wrong

it’s not the type of game where stealth is optional and you can just shoot your way out of a situation if worst comes to first…if your gun makes its way out there’s a high probability you’re gonna fail the mission…it’s an absolute last resort for me and I’ll only use a silencer…loud shootouts are pretty much a wrap as would be the case in a realistic scenario where you’re attempting to assassinate someone

Kindly up the thread, I can browse as I get closer to actually playing.

I bumped it a few minutes ago…and yes there are an overwhelming amount of ways to kill folks without implicating yourself…before missions, they list the ways you can kill targets as goals that you get extra points for but for me that takes some of the fun out the game…I like casing an area and looking around to see what I can use to my advantage and make up/discover ways of my own to kill targets

It honestly might be my game of the year. I loved it. The Dartmoor Mansion is like a game in and of itself. Masterful level design. Why are you skipping 1 & 2 though? They're updated with the Hitman 3 engine.
It was a purely random purchase- was in Walmart looking for wall stuff :mjlit:and saw a sale sticker! Do I need to buy 1 or 2 for the full experience? Bc that won’t happen anytime soon unless the PS sub will let me play them.
