How is Houston one of the GOAT rap cities while Dallas is one the WOATs?

shyt is :why:

Same state, only like 3 and a half hours apart.
Houston has legends for days, not just locally but nationally
Their sound and influence is still in hip hop til this day
but dallas, is one of the WOATs and will probably never blow up.

shyt is weird

Dallas was too focused on dancing if you ask me. Most of the dances they came up with they didn't even get credit for either :russ:

:russ:like the dougie. Cali nikkas straight finessed that shyt and made millions. Turned it into a lil movement for them and was the beginning of their re-emergence on the scene

houston and dallas both corny as shyt :camby: atleast Houston brought screwed music to the game, even tho i can listen to it for a entire song, it can add something to a great song

I moved to Dallas at a young age from Cali and I've said it a million times Dallas radio don't support their own artist.

I heard dudes from Dallas on the radio in Houston before I heard them in Dallas:heh:

first and foremost is the lack of identity. second is the shytty rappers. third is there is no go-to producer in the city. fourth is radio stations don't support their own. fifth, there are a lot of haters in this city. sixth, bad luck with a few rappers that had potential...bo leg, nino/hotboy, twisted blacc, lil soc, etc...

honestly dallas has had a decent run in the early 2000s with dsr/clout. better than a lot of cities (bmore, dc, seattle, charlotte, bham, etc....) who haven't had anything.

i really thought hotboy/nino were the two to put on for the city back in 04 but they got locked up and ruined everything.

1,2 and 4 are the biggest problems imo
