I was reading that 70% of Americans hate their jobs :wtf:

This type of thinking could only come from people who have never experienced the true joy of work; from people who never seen the true beauty of a person who pours himself into something completely. I think it's sad that human beings, who are interrelated with everything else in the world, consider work simply as a means to keep their stomachs full. It is even sadder to think that people in the prime of life, who should be filled with great dreams, vitality, and ambition, should feel that work is a nuisance. It is a great insult to the work ethic to think of work, sweat, and effort only in terms of monetary results when you should be thinking of it in terms of accomplishment, fulfillment, personal development, and contribution to society.

Do you think hunters and gatherers were sitting on a beach? :dame:

I am the type of person who cannot sit still for very long. The most difficult thing in the world for me to do is nothing.

Do you think janitors or garbage men are supposed to love their jobs?

I worked for a company ran by a distant relative. Although I was part of the family, I was still a regular wage earner; yet I did my work as though I were the owner of the company. I did not wait for orders, and I always took the initiative myself to seek out work to do. I was never late for work and never took a day off.

Because of the inexpressible joy I derive from accomplishment, I still work as hard today.

Hunter gatherers actually had more free time than modern man, there's been studies on people living in the jungles in Papua New Guinea that supports that idea. They work 15-20 hours a week to survive, the rest of their time is spent chillin :russ:

People hate working for the most part because the vast majority of jobs in the world are unfulfilling and only generate salary and nothing more. You're effectively trading the only valuable commodity in the world; time, for something that has no actual intrinsic value behind it. The average person is going to work more than 1/3 of their life away, the other 1/3 is spent sleeping.....leaving you just 1/3 to yourself.

Let's see the timeline for a regular 9-5

Get up at 7
Leave 8 so enough time for rush hour
Done at 5
Get home by 630

Now u only have 3 hours before sleep

I don't get the time argument let's not act like people would be spending their time wisely if they didn't have to work most would do nothing all day.
