Something I have been trying to figure out for a while now and since the BB vs MoS thread started I see people calling it trash again.

What is it brehs? Enlighten me, because I have watched MoS twice and still think its a great movie.

Was it too dark?
Body count too high?
Did the ending bother you? I thought it was alright...

What's up brehs? What will it take to satisfy the nerds to accept a superman movie?

I am starting to think you cats found Brandon Routh more attractive and thus accepted returns more than this one.

I don't know what else it could be.

It was OK, felt rushed, the story line that is, could have been two movies imo....

i watched it for the first time this weekend and the storyline felt extremely rushed

it needed more depth.

Overall I think the sign of the times requires a more believable superhero. He is just too fantastic for the time. An alien who wears a big red cape and an S on his chest and has no scientific explanation for his powers just comes off corny. At least go through the motions of making some shyt up.
The action was pretty much terrible. It was just a series of Supes and Zod throwing each other through walls/buildings. It got boring.
Besides Lois all the Daily Planet characters and their roles were tacked on not developed. And yes the overall destruction of Metropolis was over the top. Also Clark working there at the end was really just put in because he is 'supposed to'. Terrible.
The acting was top notch but I didn't like the story/material.

If it didn't have all that action people would have complained as well.

The movie already clocked in at almost 2 1/2 too
