True...it can be used as somewhat of a deflecting tactic but...it is still a very valid point being made. If every black life is precious...who cares who takes the life? Shouldn't we all be equally outraged that a black life has been extinguished? From a black man in casual clothes killing another black man over "beef" to a white man in a police uniform killing a black man over "breaking the law" what's the difference?
Discuss. I really want to see if people can make any bit of sense out of this without negging me, calling me a cac or c00n. I'm sure I'll be disappointed though.
Here's why: because these communities where it's so prevalent were created by a predominantly white society with a power structure bent on keeping minorities disenfranchised and segregated from the rest of society. The black on black violence argument is rooted in the fact that blacks or other minorities are somehow inherently violent. But here's the thing, humans as a whole are inherently violent. It's just an implication that some of us are more violent than others from the sake of complexion alone. A lot of white people truly believe that.
If these communities had the same educational opportunities and quality of life as other places, there's no surprise the violence wouldn't be as bad as it is.
Drugs were purposely pushed into these neighborhoods by the government. The government purposely keeps the land values down so when they knock down these shytty neighborhoods, they can knock down the old housing and build luxury housing/apartments and make profits back 100-fold while keeping their risk virtually non-existent. The poor with no place to go lived in these neighborhoods after migrating from the poor south and elsewhere.
Are there people living in these communities with the power to make a change? Absolutely, but the government did a great job of fukking most of these places up to where they're almost brainwashed from day one that they aren't shyt, and they're never going to be shyt. Drugs and lack of economic opportunities led to people devaluing education so you have an endless cycle of violence and ignorance. The government has an underclass from which they have a permanent supply of soldiers and unskilled workers to perform menial labor. They have a justification to perpetuate the drug war and fund law enforcement.
Aside from all of that, it's simply a red herring. How do confirmed and alleged actions by a white power structure against minorities have anything to do with black on black crime? Easy answer: it doesn't unless you wanna talk about how white people have ravaged and segregated all sorts of minorities for decades upon decades with the intent of weakening them.
