YG was hot for a while and then he dropped Stay Dangerous, which i think was a hard album, but that was the beginning of his transition into a much more industry rapper and he turned into just a weirdo
Dom will always be the mainstream underground artist that everyone fukk with fr. you from cali and say you dont fukk with dom you getting the sideeye automatically
Nip passed that hurt forsure
Drakeo died and that was like the nail in the coffin

but all these other dudes straight wack. westside boogie wack. roddy wack. blueface wack. Blxst wack. g perico lowkey wack. ofc you got other arista like kamaiyah larry june jay worthy who put out amazing music but will always be underground cause they on they independent shyt

It just seem like they don’t really connect with other regions features and shyt so they stay regional. Quiet as kept though, some of the best street rap over the last 3ish years been coming out of LA. Babystones, Tr3yway6k, Jap5, Wallie etc. Drakeo was the only one of them I feel like could’ve really popped though

to be honest i don't even think most of them care about being "cool", it's what cube said at the end.... you know they are going to be creative
that's why LA will always be the best to me, diversity.
