When I was a kid the last church we went to consistently would be like 8:30am-12pm. So I’d always feel like I’d be able to get home in time to watch football, play outside etc. That feeling when you’d be on the highway and notice your parent took the wrong exit…


End up at grandma’s house for five hours, and she not changing the dial from CNN or a cooking channel.


Then you get home and have missed all the games, nobody is outside to play with and it’s getting dark.

Forreal. My parents used to be heavy in the church back in the day. You couldn't chew gum, yawn or fall asleep. Thinking about it now that shyt was brainwashing. Kids that age didn't understand anything about worshipping a zombie and eating his flesh and blood (bread and wine) making you a better person and guaranteed to go to heaven after you die. 4-5 hours of that shyt nah man.

Not only that but the message isn't relatable for a child. fukk would I know about paying bills and general grown up problems as a 10 year old???
