Retiring as a Wizard at the age of 40 he averaged 20.0ppg 6.1rebs. 3.8assist and 1.5 steals per game on 45% shooting. Clearly he was a shell of his former self, although on some nights you could see flashes of what made him the GOAT.

But lets say MJ didn't decide to hang it up, and wasn't the number one option on a bad Wizards team. But perhaps a 3rd or 4th option for a contending team like the "03 -"04 Dallas Mavericks(6th Man Antawn Jamison), "03 -"04 New Jersey Nets(6th Man Rodney Rodgers, Starting SG Kerry Kittles) or hell even a playoff team such as the "03 - "04 Portland Trailblazers (Jail Blazers) etc...going forward.

Could Mike have been in the running for 6 man of the year up until the age of 43? or contribute until the age of 45?
