Overseas is good money but leaving family and friends behind isn't easy for an 18 year old. Plus college is more fun especially for basketball stars. Going to Big colleges like kentucky and Duke will always be more appealing for any top recruit.

Not anytime soon. Cats are scared of the unknown. Go overseas and get paid but not know anything or go to duke for 6 months and not get paid but not have to face any unknowns.
Cats are gonna keep going to college for a long time because of this. It's all they know. So they go with the familiar.

Plus like dude says many of these teams overseas such as Europe don't let young folks play. Then they have caps on how many foreigners they can have. Plus some of those teams in Europe don't pay on time, they bounce checks and they can cut players like the NFL and never pay them.

Plus these colleges do pay the top players under the table. But look in the next decade they will start paying these dudes even if it is 10k a semester. Plus whatever else they get under the table.

Solid post with a lot of truth. I would like to add that the top guys like wiggins, kyrie, wall etc are already seeing money when they're in college. Whether we're talking about boosters, agents or shoe companies, the cats that are guaranteed to go are already seeing some doe. so like you've stated why get greedy and entertain the unknown when for 6 months you can be the big man on campus, fukk hoes and stay in your comfort zone? I agree though-- don't see it happening no time soon.

Yeah it is well known the boosters hook them up with money and cars. After games the boosters actually throw parties and hand players envelopes with money in them. It is pretty common at most universities.
