How long would I need my grow hair to grow dreads like this? Would love advice.

Does your hair grow fast? If so, a year or two. Also, get your dreads done/washed once a month.....that's what I do.

I don’t know how fast your hair grows but for me I hate the tiny dreads from the scalp and grew my hair for 7 months and my dreads were already hanging. I cut them off and have waves now but if I ever decided to get them again I’d grow my hair for a full year just to get to start at the hangtime process.

3 years minimum from the time you start them. Best advice is its just hair , give it time and let it grow. Around the 4th year is when I felt my shyt was really long

In my experience 3 years. It takes 4 or 6 months to lock up plus you gonna go through a “ugly stage.” Never use “beeswax” for your hair. all it does is glue your hair together not lock it up. You hair will lock on its own. Also, if you are black your hair is gonna super fast.

Just buy some products on amazon good for your hair , and it will grow quicker.
I did that and my hair was as black as night ..and i was able to get dreads in less than a year.
but my body/head hair grows faster than usual tho.
