The atheist parents I know just tell their kids what other people believe but they're generally not susceptible to the irrational bullshyt anyways and are less likely to instill it into their kds

I can't imagine a black kid saying I don't believe in Jesus is going over to well with the other kids

kids dont even be worried about Jesus until their parents are around.

not really, especially not now. i had a lot of friends who weren't raised religious (i.e. their parents would go every now and then, but it wasn't a big part of their family). like someone else said, i don't remember discussing church/god/jesus with friends outside of making jokes about the black church every now and then. as for them asking why we're that way, i don't see how this conversation is any different than kids asking about why you're rich/poor, why you're black, questions about being a girl/boy, etc.

while i personally don't do the religious thing, i wouldn't mind having a partner/husband who had religious beliefs and took the kids to church/mass/temple/whatever. nothing against it, i just don't believe in it and won't be going out my way to incorporate it into my household.
