Black Owned Businesses are almost non-existence... and i blame the owners.. u should see how many black businesses i grew up and saw, but the nikka instead of re-investing into his business decided to buy a house and a car in the burbs and took whatever extra money they receive to go support white businesses..
I support black owned food spots rather it be chicken and rib spots or my barber shop.
You may have a point, but it's on us to support those that are around. Case in point this thread, many of us flock to a "black women ain't shyt" thread, but anything about supporting your own people is![]()
it's better now though
iunno how rave buying em out changed the atmosphere, but it's no longer dirty ass bloods loitering out in front of the theater
I remember the message they had before the movie started, no baseball caps, no rags, no colors i was likeWhen the theater started to smell like weed, i was like
the black excellence/un-excellence in LA is just too great

Thought provoking question...honestly not much that I buy is black owned..this all natural Shea butter, maybe, it's 100% pure from the Africans BUT I get it from Walmart...get gas from middle easterns, corner stores owned by ricans, hair (if I get it straightened) by the Dominicans, nails & brows Asians
I honestly go to these places because they're in my neighborhood, im not necessarily traveling all over the city just for a black business...but I try when I can
