failed t shirt business once not my fault

failed printing business totally my fault

successfull customizing garments and footwear (stopped blame myspace but thanks to insta im going in again)

one "business" now where i have my license, registration and even trade marked it. its an umbrella registration which allows me to practice different ventures under it. from animation to freelance and back to printing. 2 websites and instagram.

wont say a success yet as i lost accounts i was trying to build but its all official with the paperwork which makes networking easier as my shyt is tangible. with all that said the answer is no but by the middle of next year i hope one of these ventures pays off so i can say 'yes'.

Well here is a hint: Most of the people saying "We need our own!" or "Start businesses" are punching in that clock for Walter, so the numbers are pretty damn low.

I ran two businesses that were successful...until they weren't:francis:shyt is a lot of work.
talking about what type of business it was, and why you think they eventually failed, would help a lot of folks on here.

the whole idea of a "business" is to create another stream on income, separate from your 9 to 5. u dont realize how much free time u have until you add up all the time u spend doing utterly frivolous things...i.e. playing games, watching sports, talking on the phone about topics that are of the utmost irrelevance....etc

Web development firm that I basically break even on, but it covers all business-related expenses like LLC renewal and mailbox services.

Coffee import business that failed. An expensive failure at that.

Travel blog that I got bored with.

Social media advertising business that I had to stop because I didn't have enough cash and credit to cover ads while waiting to be paid by customers (there's still a good idea there, but I've been too lazy to bring my ass back to the US and secure a business line of credit or CC).

Mind expanding on these more?

1st. t shirt business.

it was 2007/2009 i remember perfectly because 2010 i moved from that apartment. It failed because of two main reasons one i gave all the tshirts 250 menswear 250 womanswear to my mother who was setting up a charity shop. I did this because reason number 2 i ordered v-neck t shirts nobody messes with v-neck t shirts i used to see on karmaloop and highsnobiety and other online sites everyone with the tradional t shirts so i thought i can jump ahead with a USP into a niche of v-neck t shirts. so i had no problems getting rid of them, i sold the silk screen presser but kept the woven labels i ordered over 500 because i use the same logo and name.

i had a website just domain bought no hosting because i didnt have front page, i went all in but i moved out my apartment 2010 and gave all them shyts to my moms.

2nd printing.

quite simple i wasnt using apple mac and the latest tech, so even though the textiles and images where good, and when i had work ordered like family photos on cups and hats i did it well but i got priced out and didnt utilize online because stubbornly i knew that when i have a full running website i want it linked to my business account and protection and etc go all in, and with this printing i was not satisfied with my tools or outcome. so i packed it in sold some shyt and got the paperwork for my latest ventures.

hope that helped.

I have an online magazine in Philly and we’ve been taking off lately ...lots of great content and interviews ....launched 2 podcasts under the channel and had some great guests so far ...

Between the website and podcasts we pretty much interviewed every influential Person in philly not named Will smith and meek mill (yet)

There are 55+ Newsstands in philly that have 26” monitors which play our video content all -day

We just partnered with Radio one and have a landing page on their hip hop station BoomPhilly and we now cover all their events/functions we just did their recap video for a huge expo then just had and interviews some old school rap legends

This year we are taking it to the next level We’re launching our merch store and some other partnerships in the works

Edit: we also “white glove” video content and marketing i am currently on the train to AC to shoot a recap video for a club out there (we also have several restaurants in the philly as clients)

then dont use craigslist bro, most cleaners are selling pssy. so if you are legit make that very clear or offices/etc wont even touch it.
