Some people be on the Coli listing all types of albums as classics that aren’t anywhere near universal classics but then want to talk as if none of these Nas joints can be considered classics.
We are talking about albums that have zero classic lines bars or songs not being classic is somehow outrageous :mjlol:

Notice how no one is naming any classic anything from these albums.

I’m going to try find that tweet today since are doing everything in your power to hate on hit boy. You also have the ability to search twitter to find it if you don’t believe me. Copying other producers :comeon:. If Daringer and the boys you named are modern day boom bap then keep me far away from that funeral music. I wonder why Benny has hitboy doing some of his next album and had him do burden of proof:sas2:

You misquoted Premier and Guru :manny:

Crook said "new age boom bap." WTF is that? It doesn't really mean anything because no name producers make type beats all the time. Just go to YouTube and put any producer's name followed by type beats and you'll get knock off instrumentals with thumbnails that look like album covers and song titles similar to who they're copying:

It's not about inspiration but an easy way for beat makers to get rappers to find their beats. Crook probably wasn't up on that.

You can't credit Hit Boy with anything boom bap related when he's making type beats himself. He literally just copied 9th. Used his drums sounds and patterns.

None of what I'm saying is hate but you're the one who said Nas and Hit Boy are the only ones making albums you like so you're just not knowledgeable on what's going on outside of KD and Magic. Benny literally just did an album with Daringer and Alchemist and worked with Harry Fraud and Peter Rock after Burden of Proof. Alchemist is doing half of the next album with Hit Boy. He works with a lot of producers. Maybe listen to music before you comment on it. You only pop up when Nas drops an album but we're supposed to take your opinions seriously:mjlol:

Combating the idea that these albums aren’t classic by saying the boom bap revival of the 2010s is a true case of influence when both have the largely the same audience and largely the same elder age group of rappers is interesting

I think both are important to show rap has an older scene that thrives and whatever important albums come out of that will be viewed well but that’s just me

So now you care about hit and billboard chart data? I’m just asking for a friend

They flipped on the Grammys a few years ago too

So now you don't care about those things?

Hovengers had a weird obsession with Oochie Wally for over 20 years now. Seem like jealousy the source of that :sas1:

Has there even been 2-3 classic hip hop albums the last decade, let alone Nas-Hitboy collaborations?

:heh:

Why would Jay Z fans be jealous of a song that Jay has 15 records bigger then. The fact that Oochie Wally is one of Nas biggest hits is lowkey embarrassing :mjlol:
