Kinda related to the Doctor Dre thread. Those pics had me feeling a certain way.

I have plenty friends who havent had a physical since college. shyt i was in that boat for a while too.

And its not for lack of understanding, its lack of care. No matter how healthy u look, you never know what lies underneath... you could even have cancer and not know it... it happens.

Just saying, we should take our health very seriously. I know doctors are backed up now and appointments are 2 months booked it seems, but still... try to make sure you get checked out at least once year.

We need to value our health. And this is the first step.

Thats all, stay safe and healthy out there.

Got to, it may be life or death in some cases. Sometimes you’ll hear about folks who never go to the doctor, then when they’re finally feeling bad enough to go they find out they have all kinds of health issues that may have been treated if only they were discovered early.

While I wouldn't exactly call them 'annual checkups' it's Ironic as hell that I've had to run to the doctor around the same time (April-May) for the last three years without fail for chest related problems that would naturally scare a heavy man like myself into thinking that he was in the ballpark of an impending heart attack.:flabbynsick:

I've been lucky the three times I've been checked out to be assured that my heart is indeed fine after taking an EKG last year and a more indepth one this year for the last two chest pain related scares with the promise (to myself) to have this done each year as I should be, being a man in his mid 30's. I'm actually dissapointed with myself in a low-key sense because if my heart and system are pretty decent for a man my age at this shape and weight currently (285) then imagine what it could be if I were to actually lose this weight like I've been promising myself and attain as optimum a health as I could with the buffs I already got.

2020 has made this challenge a bit more tough, but fukk it. I owe it to myself not to waste this blessing and these 'scares' been my impending wakeup calls.

Literally what happened to my aunt. Found out she had cancer, was dead less than two months later.

:francis:

There currently isn't :yeshrug:

I can pause on the pause when it comes to stomach issues. I've had one done and its the worse but the piece of mind in knowing you alright is well worth the :scust: feeling you get when you wake up

I get a checkup every year, go to the dentist 2x a year, and just had my vision checked last year. Since being a state employee we have to do healthcare maintenance yearly or get fined, but I'm ok with it since I would like to get routine health checkups.
