Honestly, most people who were closely following womens hoops before CC made her WNBA debut knew. There were a bunch of profiles of her, she had her music getting promoted during/after LSU’s title run, and the connection was a big part of her story.

LSU took a backseat to SC and Iowa in terms of publicity and her music aint really go anywhere so when more fans came to the game it was kinda forgotten.
