I used to be a weak af swimmer until the beginning of the summer I made it a point to practice everyday. I used to be one of those people who thougt my body type just could float or I didn't have enough fat but that was bullshyt. Now I'm just about decent, even got my backstroke fluent 
I'm not into the whole idea of reaching for white peoples validation by making a point to not fit to certain stereotypes, but I urge everyone to learn or
ATLEAST push your kids/siblings to learn. Especially if you're from the West Indies like me.(we have no excuse)
Imagine what a difference it would've made after Katrina. I've had a few close calls before and had to be snagged by lifeguards.
You always read stories of black children drowning trying to save their friends/family.


Anyone have any interesting stories?
