As much as we (ppl on the Coli) bytch and moan about "the man" and being the minority most of us really don't have to deal with it on a day to day basis.

They have all these things listed as "Race" in Florida:

i'm Jamaican.
So yea i usually feel like a minority.
When i'm around white people i'm the only black person.
When i'm around black people i'm the only Jamaican.
i live around mostly black people but i find myself surrounded by non blacks on a regular basis. Black people are definitely in the minority.

In my neighborhood and most of my day to day functions , yes.
not horribly out numbered but still outnumbered.
Here in my cup de sac there's 6 houses. We are 1 of 2 black families.
4 white families and 1 Asian family.

over ten years.
i connect with AA's fine. But there is still enough differences for me to feel my minority status.
