My parents are the only folks I can count on in my life.

Thankfully they are still alive, hopefully God willing they have another 35-40 years on this earth

I appreciate that I can call them anytime, but, we can get too close

I'm gettin' older and there elements to our relationship that causes me to resent them (ie they still try to treat like a kid, sometimes)

I could stand to get a bit more space from them

I love them
