Nobody's complaining and fact of the matter is a lot of these people are disingenuous with their statements. They usually have an ulterior motive when they make it a priority to let you know they're tolerant before it even gets brought up by anyone and when its not even relevant to a situation. A lot of the same people will tell black jokes when your back is turned. The point it is it doesn't have to be one or the other, they don't have to coddle me because they assume I'll flip out and throw a tantrum and on the opposite end of the spectrum they don't have to start blatantly disrespecting me and my people. Even when faced with one or the other, most would prefer dealing with the second type of white people than the bold racists. Shiiiieet I even expressed these points earlier in the thread! and these sentiments were echoed by other posters if you bothered to actually read the thread before commenting.

Funny thing is, I work with allot of conservative white folks and I've heard them having conservative, bash Obama conversations and as soon as I walk in the room they're all quiet.

I purposely say shyt like "did you see all those idiots at the Palin rally" just to see the look on their faces, but they're always too scared to defend themselves.

All the time. It was really bad in colllege. I swear some of those classes are designed to breed mealy-mouthed, "liberal", paternalistic racists. They see black people and dark skinned people in general as oh so poor and disadvantaged people that can only be saved by thier pity. It's disgusting.
