This is something that I have been thinking about lately. Some artists has had amazing prime where they release multiple classic albums in a row but has there been any occurrence where a rapper has been able to have the 'Album of the Year' spot multiple times in a row?
Ice Cube is the only artist that has to me, having released AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted and Death Certificate in 1990 and 1991 respectively. Death Certificate has competition with The Low End Theory for 1991's AOTY but I give the slight edge to Cube for being better lyrically and having more cohesion.
