Well he was upfront about the plan from the beginning. I've never seen a GM find a way to say the team is gonna be trash so eloquently. I say he's got at least 3 more years and if the plan doesn't end in a playoff spot by then he'll get shytcanned.

Hinkie's tanking for a top 5 pick every year. Wasn't Ricciardi was taking juniors and seniors in every draft and overspent on mid-level players by year 2 cause his plan wasn't working? Hinkie's drafted well every year and he has two potential franchise centers in Noel and Embiid already. He stashed Dario Saric in Europe and Saric is the best player in Europe right now. They got two very good bench players in Wroten and Covington for nothing.
His team is full of guys who should still be in college but they are 13th in the league in defensive rating. They're a high upside team with more talent on the way and they don't care about losing to get premier talent, while the Jays were always mediocre

Man next year is the last. He is stockpiling talent while having the largest cap space in the league. The practice facility building will start next year as well.
