Real movers and shakers are too busy plotting on more riches to be dope fiend alcoholics. They may promote the lifestyle (Ciroc) or front like they smoke heavy like Curtis, but if they do it's purely motivated by greed and designed to brainwash consumers.
Snoop might be the only (semi) mogul that's really bout that life and he just benefits from having smarter people around him, he could have made way more millions in his career with the type of popularity he's achieved.
Despite what these rap ninjas like Wiz and Gunplay promote in their videos it's a well known fact that drug addicts stay broke and if that's what you base your career on then you won't have one for long.
