granted i have not been there in the past four winters.
although i was there.
for the last winter.
east coast winter have what i like to call sunny time.
where Chicago winters rarely have sunny time.
so when the sun shines during east coast winters it is mild.
plus the landscape appears to warm up considering it is winter.
in Chicago if the sun is out it never changes the feel of it being cold.
it can be sunny and have good sunbeam winter views. Yet it never feels like you could put on a lighter winter coat like out east. In Chicago, you are in your intense artic winter gear and I miss that totally.
on the east coast it feels at times like the winter weather will break and spring could start. In Chicago, it does not get warm in the same manner till really early June. Chicago in 2009 became intense rain and then mild in weather. So imo, I feel every year of nine. The weather in Chicago goes from mild to rainy to severe cold. Last trend Chicago was mild as far as winter for chicago to this uptick. Yet it is a nine ending year. So the weather is always rainy trash in a year ending in nine. Most years ending in nine in Chicago. It is gonna rain and be wack in the summer all summer. Or be some weird ass never really hot shyt. Then it carries over to a intensely colder winter. Then after two years. The winters become mild and the summers last till fall oddly.
like it could be November and Indian summer never stopped.
then winter in those years is like late thanksgiving to feb with light snow fall.
we had a number of years where the snow was a blizzard warning snow. Or just hardly any snow. Which was way different from when i was a kid. When i was a kid. Chicago had winters to be scared of. it does not snow like that anymore all the time like how it used to in Chicago. Where we used to walk around in the early eighties surround by walls of snow with trails chiseled out . shyt was like walking around in one of those landscape tree maze gardens. Except it is snow. It is not like that anymore. So sometimes i feel like anyone could make it in the Chicago winter now.
