How much credit does Stan Van Gundy deserve for Dwight's peak?

Seriously, look at what this man has done with the 2 centers he has had post Miami.

Dwight went from 17 PPG, 12 RPG and 2BPG to 21 PPG, 14 RPG and 4 BPG (Finals Appearance too)

Drummond has made a bigger leap from 14 PPG and 13 RPG to 19 PPG and 17 RPG.

I understand that this has to do with the centers being young and entering their prime, but this is two examples in a row with significant improvement to their games. The man simply knows how to get teams to buy into his system and get the most of what he has to work with. @Malta probably did cartwheels when he heard Stan was going to Detroit.

Hard to say since he's never been the same since suffering from a herniated disk. He would still be putting up similar #s if he was healthy.

All
To be fair though drummond is twice the player dwight eve rcould be

Dwight was a athletic robot while drummond moves like a small forward in a centers body...plus gundy has even more control in the d then in orlando

Maybe, but he hasn't learned anything since Van Gundy was fired. He was actually showing promise in the post in that finals run. Dwight dumped all over the cavs in that last game to go to the finals. I think he had like 40/20 and a few blocks....I was thinking that might have been the start of the Dwight era in the NBA.

I haven't seen moves like that from him since.

I don't agree with everyone saying he deserves ALL the credit, but a fair amount.
