I'm curious what other people in different areas think about this

Me and my coworkers don't have a ton in common and normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but sometimes it fukn grinds on me having to be around some of these people for years on end.

Constantly negative, constantly talking behind people's back, constantly talking chit... I feel like I'm in high school all over again and it's killing my mood coming into work every damn day

I know there gotta be some other people out there that can relate right?

I’m a naturally quiet dude at work until I’m comfortable enough to chop it up. But working in food service as a youngster, in high pressure environments you want good coworkers that are cool and funny. Other jobs that I’ve worked, the same applies, especially if they are boring and monotonous. I used to spend hours on the road and sometimes we would fukk around and stop at the landmarks in smaller towns and take pictures, or take the little detours that are worth remembering every once in a while.

I still remember this old peckerwood I was partnered with who would fukking go in on our supervisor. He would say that he was always wearing sandals because he was too stupid to tie his shoes(we did power washing) :mjlol:

I don’t do negative or bytch people tho, so anyone like that I’m staying away from as much as I can.

So yes, I would say it’s very important having cool coworkers.

For me, I pretty much get along with my coworkers. But, my situation is different from most people because I work outdoors as well as drive large machines, so I am in a cab by myself.

Maybe on occasion, I may have issue with people who work alongside me for various work related issues, but aside from that, everyone at my job is civil/cordial towards one another.

I may be one of the few fortunate ones..

working from home for almost 3 years has been a great relief since I don't have to see them and small talk with them every day. :blessed:

most of them aren't that bad though and my social interactions/personal relationships with them are far less of an issue on my job satisfaction than whether they are actually doing their jobs properly.

My actual job is easy and laid back for the most part. The hard part is putting up with my staff. All women. Can barely go one day without them bytching about each other and how one didn’t say good morning back to the other. Or how one feels like they do more work than the other disregarding the whole fact that they might get paid more for a reason. I spend more time playing referee to grown ass women than I should be

It is important. Even if you're a "quiet" breh, being around those kind of people is not healthy. I'd advise you to find a new job if possible.
I def am a quiet type, but finding a new job is not in the cards (I'm an Air Traffic Controller and $$ plus benefits too good).

I def feel like it's gotta be the quiet types that suffer the most when it comes to these types of things.

Not necessarily important to my bottom line but I have to say that I'm all for chopping it up...

But I fukking HATE spamming channels with memes and dated ass bullshyt.

I don't keep my chats open anyway so when I see a blinking light, I'm thinking it's important... only to get some bullshyt meme :childplease:

I hear it's the worse for quite types. Like you gotta deal with folks inviting you to lunch and bars. Going to work parties and shyt.:unimpressed:

I’m quiet but I’m outgoing. Quite the contradiction. But I keep enough of a dividing line between my psyche and others. I’m easy to get along with but very difficult to get to know and I prefer it that way :manny:

i work besides one of the most miserable women of all time......this woman is 4'10 and always wants to get into arguments with people....First week i started at that place she came up to me to shyt talk a co-worker who was an orphan and talked shyt about his autism......like who on earth does that :mindblown:

i don't say much though and keep to myself........seems like some people want to infect other people with their misery.
