How much happiness can you buy from earning 35,000 to earning 50,000?

what are the real benefits? ... what im trying to say is, even if u could upgrade ur car, for some people that doesnt really matter and are just as happy in a cheaper car...instead of a 3 bedroom..a 2 bedroom..etc

so for that type of reasoning , what are the benefits of earning 15,000 to 20,000 more dollars a year?

when i look at a person earning this much more than me, are they really living better than i? or just more expensive products?

Happiness is what you make it....I know people with no jobs happier than middle class people.

You can be miserable with what you make and just as miserable making more...or you can just make yourself happy with what you got.

open bigger credit loans.. and if your responsible.. you can make a better life with it..
just might get enough credit to buy a house thats been defaulted...
most women would consider you good enough for a living at 50k (if both of you make 50k you have a good family income)
even if your alone.. you get to buy extra stuff like..man toys.. and go on vacation yearly...

p.s. if you live in ny.. the amount would be about 65k to be equivalent.

Sometimes i feel like the happiest person in the world. Sometimes I feel like the saddest person in the world. And there ain't a danm dollar in the world that can change that at the time.

happiness is what you make it, there are wall street bankers committing suicide. There are folks with millions depressed, there are folks making barely anything all around the world happy.

Happy to one person is different to another.

Happiness to a guy making 10 bucks a hour with a wife and kid, could just be living in a safe area and hvaing food in his fridge a healthy wife and a kid getting straight as in school

happiness to another may be a big car, big house, materialistic stuff

if you make a million a year and you find out your wife is cheating she files for divorce and takes your two kids are you going to happy?

$$$ is all subjective as well, you can make 50k a year and have a fancy car and live in a flashy downtown condo won't be the same lifestyle as a guy making 50k who lives at home and takes the bus.

That was me last year...

Nothing in my life changed tbh... I'm just saving more and making a couple moves to retire sooner

That's the happiness I'm tryna buy

15k, 20k is very very very marginally better. To the point that I'd put two ppl that are just that much apart, in the same financial category.

Like you said it's maybe the difference of a slightly better car or slightly better house. Not wildly different that you could tell the two apart everything being equal as far as their spending and saving habits.

i can look back at my life and i was the happiest in college making 8.50 working 5pm to 12am with 3 of my closest friends at some call center where we would just sit and joke around, talk about girls and life. On weekends just playing videogames all day long, heading to the mall and just walking around, renting a car and going up north or to another city just hanging out. Even though I had no passport, no money, no car those moments were some of the best in life.

Now I make so much more and i sit in a desk for 8 hours a day, dont even say anything to anyone I dread waking up, starting my car and driving, sitting at my desk and coming home.
