My debt was 18, now its 12 grand, up from 8 in 2009. Goddamn accrued interest, if you can afford a little over the monthly minimum payment consistently, do that shyt.
That was my mistake, paying in one lump sum then not paying afterwards.

After undergrad, I had only $2700 in debt

After grad school it's going to be $20-30k

I'm only 24 and living at home and working full time. Once my pops gets his business straight I can pay down the debt

Yikes. My sister just got her MBA, but luckily her job helped her out with it. The cost is the #1 thing keeping me from pursuing my Master's. I know I'd be looking at 40-50k myself.

Yeah I'm working full time but in this era of cost cutting my job doesn't have tuition reimbursement any more and I got that news when I started.

If I can find a flexible job at my current salary or more with those benefits, id be golden

But once my fam financial situation improves I can probably pay the debt down significantly per month

I'm only $10k deep right now

11K left

If you pay large payments on a Individual loan, the due dates get pushed back (ask them about it 1st to make sure)

I made a payment of 2K on one of my Stafford? (I don't remember) loans and the due date got pushed back to July of 2018. I pay $100 a month on that loan so the Interest doesn't accrue and so I can be done with it in a about 2 years.

Student Loan debt isn't bad, it's manageable as long as you don't take out a Private Loan ... Credit Card debt is the worst

Reminds me of misaddressed bill collection sent to the home I rent (near a university). It was in or around that same figure, so I'm sure there's plenty of others...:whew:

For the OP, my last debt ended after paying off my car ($5k), while being a state worker "gave" me my basic grad degree...

Current salary/cost of living is dirt cheap, though (balances out, I guess)...:rudy:
