How much money would you need to just straight up take over a poor country?

Like remove the people in power and put yourself in there? I feel like it would be a lot, like at least a billion dollars, but it may not take that much since this is a poor country after all. a billion wont cut it ....... every country you can think of has GDP in at least the tens of billions.......

you could only do it with the help of an insider i.e someone in the armed forces , via a military coup, without that your fukked.... and even if you do that if its not a popular uprising youre fukked, the people will come out against you....

if you are not a native of the country you are invading you are fukked, you wont be accepted by anyone.......be ready to face charges plus a UN peacekeeping force

It could, which is why I said that they're not mutually exclusive. It's just that I feel power is the only necessity, money would be a means to that end. I'd imagine even if you needed money the connections you'd gain with power could account for that. It's just a matter of which one you start with i suppose, and I'd rather start with power
