I would too. Some producers abuse it though (later era dre comes to mind). shyt, I remember seeing a video with Southside "making" a beat, and all he was doing was nodding his head while his assistant was behind the boards making the actual track :dead:

no no, im guessing you're talking about one of his members making a beat or they were taking turns adding stuff, remember, southside sizz got the 808 mafia beat collective. its a team thing.

You've pretty much describe most off today's music regardless of genre. Technically superb, but lacking in musicality

Yea, i think Harry needs to find a way to make music that people really feel instead of taking the safe route and making something that people think is just good enough to have on an album. Todays standards dont seem to allow for chemical reactions when i listen. Its sad that i listened to Roc Marcianos album and found beats that did not have the high end studio sound quality, yet still resonated chemically more then any beat Harry Fraud ive ever heard from Harry Fraud.

Frankly, he has very few retail placements. I don't understand how any artist, regardless of level of success or not, can afford to pay someone anything notable for work on a mixtape that generates virtually no income. These guys are just all collaborating with the aspiration of blowing up and eating then.

So what songs are these nikkas performing at they shows? Even artists who have albums dont make that much form them, SHOW MONEY is where its at.

Juicy J (recent)
Gucci Mane
Yo Gotti
French Montana
Chief Keef

All have no album out yet they probably getting AT LEAST 30K a show. They performing the songs thats on they mixtapes at they shows. You making 30K a show then you have 20K to drop on beats so you can continue to garner attraction to do shows.

To me, the difference is those guys have HITS from mixtapes, so they can actually do shows that bring out people. Action Bronson doesn't have any hits, I can't imagine who'd go to his shows and pay more than 5 or 10 bucks to get in. And doing shows COSTS money, and time, and effort and takes a brutal toll on your health, AND keeps you out of the studio where you can be busy making more music. I'm sure these guys are living ok, they must be or they couldn't keep cranking out music, I just don't' think Fraud is getting paid truckloads per beat. He's talented, has a popular sound (one that I actually thoroughly enjoy, as it is kinda heatmaker-ish), has a gerat work ethic and understands the need to churn out music to one day become a household name.
