How often do you change your transmission fluid?

my cars manual says do it at 100k. its only got 70, but it's 10 years old so i was gonna do it in a month or so at the dealer

i see a bunch of different answers on this shyt all over the web, from do it every 30k to dont touch it at all. just figured id see what dudes on here do

If the transmission fluid is clear and clean and is shifting well. I wouldn't bother it.

Either way, if you go get it serviced somewhere it wouldn’t hurt... especially since your vehicle is a decade old.

I’d be more concerned bout a coolant or brake fluid flush

Getting your trans fluid flushed and refilled is way cheaper than fixing or buying a new trans. Its actually more important if you drive a manual. If you take to a local mechanic it should you about $200 max.

Funny this thread got bumped I just got my trans service at the Honda stealership a week back

They had a coupon for $75 it’s normally $195

Returned to that Acura butter smooth shifting, now once I do my spark plugs/ ignition coils I’ll be back in the game
