Houston ppl are cool and laidback as hell.

Better food.

Dallas women are ALOT more ratchet too.

Dallas cacs are more racist, by a pretty good margin too.

Dallas is more prone to tornadoes, Houston to hurricanes. Which would yall say has better weather?

In terms of normal, every day shyt to do, how comparable is shopping, museums, parks, entertainment between the two?

Dallas seems more family oriented and corporate in a way.

Houston has good energy. But seems like a party everywhere you go.

Shopping : 20 years ago it’s easily Dallas. Now it’s a wash.

Museums : Houston

Parks: tie. Both having good parks in and around the core and parts of the city.

Entertainment: Houston

Weather: wash. Houston is cool but with more humidity. Also rains more there. Dallas is “drier” but has higher temperatures and yes, prone to stronger tornadoes however Harris County receives the 2nd most tornadoes out of any county in the nation.

Dallas - more family oriented with a diverse economy while Houston is better for singles, big energy hub with a fast growing medical industry . The actual cities themselves are pretty distinct from each other. But the suburbs of both look the same. Except the woodlands. I can’t really find an equivalent to the woodlands in DFW.

Appreciate the breakdown! (From everyone else too)...

Is it accurate to say that Houston is a better place to visit? I've never been bored in Dallas, but it doesn't have the "party" vibe people ascribe to Houston.

For us black people in general, which city do you think offers the best overall quality of life to set roots and grow up/live black? The answer to this question always interests me, and I look at an answer for it thru this lens:

Both Raleigh and Charlotte are equivalently great places to live and create a lifestyle as someone black. There are black neighborhoods in both. Black representation is everywhere in both cities, from politics, to media, to any every day career fields. Both are safe cities for black people. Both cities are low in black poverty, have a substantial black middle class, and have wealthy blacks. Both have representation of all kinds of Black personalities and characteristics.

Both have a large demo of educated blacks, and have really good education options for black people and children. So if someone was asking me, which city should they choose based off of, the desire to comfortably and freely live black, they are pretty equal. Is Houston and Dallas akin to the NC cities in this category?

Or is there more of an LA/SF dynamic? Where LA is hands down a better place for black people than The Bay.
