anything under a year (and even that is pushing it) is way too soon. IMO.

For men its really soon as you know. Not that they're 'the 1' but that its a woman you can be with for the rest of your life. Some cats know that within a few months, sometimes it takes a few years but usually in the few years cases its less to do with the woman and more to do with the man and what he's got going on, ie, he doesn't want to settle down

Whenever you are ready. That can be 2 years or 10 years. I am putting my girl through every situation possible to know how she would react and I would still make sure all our finances are correct and good to go.
I feel 2 years is adequate. Year one to fall in love and understand differences. Year two to see how it would be to live with each other. Does the person change? How's he/she, going to act now that he/she is more comfortable?.
