If you're not on your deathbed it's too soon, & you'd preferably do it at the last possible moment to lessen the chances of you living long enough to regret making such a supremely horrible decision.

not everyone dates strangers

but I think you should do it when you feel it's right, that could be after 2 months of dating or 20 years. But both people should be on the same page. I will leave a dude that isn't ready after 2 years. :manny:

I feel 2 years is adequate. Year one to fall in love and understand differences. Year two to see how it would be to live with each other. Does the person change? How's he/she, going to act now that he/she is more comfortable?.

No data exist suggesting living together is a good metric to predict the success or lack thereof of a marriage. The problem with cohabitation is that it reduces the incentives for getting married in the first place.
