How stupid do yall feel when you try to watch all the x-men movies baaack to back

Cause I feel dumb as hell. You can't even watch the movies chronologically and make them make sense.

I try to imagine some backstory that the movies forgot to include to try to make sense out of the fact that:

Xmen 1: Wolverine and Sabre tooth have no idea who the other one is.
Mistique and Xavier obviously didn't grow up together.
Magneto can't fly. Every scene that Wolverine is in shows that he's pretty much just a regular guy that happens to have claws.

Xmen 3: Charles Xavier dies and by the time of Wolverine 2 has transferred his mind into his unexplained twins body.
There are a lot of dumb cameos that didn't need to be there.
Why do most of Magnetos mutant army only have the ability to jump high?

Wolverine 1: So Wolverine and Scott had already ran into each other?
Sabre tooth is now his brother.


Xmen first class : all of a sudden Xavier and Mistique grew up as family.
Magneto had way more power as a young man than he did in the first Xmen 1.

Days of future past: reset everything. Yay. But peep colossus.

Deadpool: now peep Colossus.

You shouldn't feel stupid. Fox owns the rights to the franchise, not Marvel. They have their own interpreters and writing team, meant to squeeze as much money out of each INDIVIDUAL movie. There's alwys massive continuity and logic issues when people treat a story like a business. You usually don't have the same writing team on each movie and there's a fair lower standard in protecting the franchise.

So compare the quality of the movies Marvel owns, like Captain America and the Avengers.

They have the #1 actress on the planet playing her (maybe ScarJo, but I doubt it). Of course Fox is going to maximize her screen time for the investment. No one likes this move btw. Note that Marvel doesn't need to do this with ScarJo.

She's actually just hitting her stride. She's huge brahs. It's just, they can't keep over exposing her like this. Bad for her brand. If they did her more like ScarJo in the Avengers, after the previous movies have already established her character, fans of the other characters wouldn't be so salty.

She better not show any diva tendencies for the next 3 years.

With First Class, it was suppose to be a whole big reboot of the series by Matthew Vaughn. Then Bryan Singer came back and tried to tie everything back using the Day's of Future Past storyline.

So basically it's confusing cause Singer came back and we never got to see Vaughn's full vision.

He can't direct for shyt. Should've sprung did Whelon at the first opportunity. He can do ensemble pieces. Singer doesn't have an appreciation for his source material, just flair. The Usual Suspects was better than it had any business being though .
