donaghy wasnt betting. the real story never leaked about him, im not even sure what was going on exactly with him. id imagine he was fixing totals. the mainstream media ate up that dipshyt rj bells "reports," but those were completely false. but he was reffing the game, and in on the fix. thats an anomaly. dont think we will ever know for sure what games he was fixing

Did you ever read "Gaming the Game"....the tell all book by the guy "the Sheep" who set up the whole fixing situation

He clearly was in on the fix......

I remember Haralabos having something on his blog and various youtube posts about what games he thought Donaghy was fixing.

i saw sam bradford at the wynn betting on clemsons bowl game. he had someone else bet for him, but i saw him hand the guy cash and he walked up to the window. they probably bet on all kinds of shyt. if they are betting games other than their own they would lose just like the majority of bettors do. information, and just as importantly how you apply the information is what wins. its tough, and almost impossible, to overcome -110 odds without it

I definitely agree with this in some ways but I do think many could find an edge.....having friends on other teams and knowing their habits and actually playing different teams is more info than most people will have.

I still say to this day the best bet I ever made was on a 2011 game when the Nuggets played the Sixers....The nuggets came to the club I was DJing at, ended up getting hammered with them....I remember going home and putting everything I made that night on the Sixers....76ers ended up cooking them.

i was up in reno a few years back, and out at the bar was a dude who pitched for the reno aces who was absolutely shytfaced. he was celebrating being called up to the bigs. the d backs pitcher was a late scratch the next day and this guy ended up being the last minute replacement. we all bombed away on the team they played, and he threw like 7 shutout innings :wtf:

no doubt you could win betting in regards to info from your own team. just knowing tendencies and stuff because you play the game isnt enough to win longterm betting into -110 odds on other games though imo. if you pick and choose your spots, and say you find out a key injury from a friend on another team or something theres an obvious edge, but day in day out stuff isnt good enough. players dont have the time it takes to actually analyze anything beyond the guys they are involved in guarding and being guarded by to take advantage of that kind of thing. also the players probably wouldnt have the time and/or ability to get down on the best numbers, which is the most key to winning. you cant just have one bookie, and have access to one line, to win. you have to be able to line shop, and pick off the best numbers. its an all hours of the day process for some of these bettors. even if you get info of a player being out, or sick, or whatever beat writers get in front of those stories and tweet them out so quickly you would have minutes to take advantage of it. beat writers get shyt out on twitter before players/coaches know about it sometimes

i like a & m also. i took +11. its +11 still at a lot of spots in vegas, and +10½ most everywhere else. why only take +10? those extra points here and there are the difference long term

I bought +10 cause that's the line my offshore book had like 5-6 days ago when I made the bet. When I made another bet today I took +11 tho but I had to lay -120 since I bought up from +10.5, cause like you said, line moved.

Best of luck to you sir, hopefully it won't make a difference since the line appears to be heavily inflated in favor of A&M.
