How tf do judges score divers/ballerinas/etc?

I just flipped over to the pan american games and just took a minute to take a look at what was going on, and I promise I seen these girls do the same flips each time. The commentator will congratulate and commend one doing a front flip, but then talk shyt about a girl doing the exact same one immediately after.

When I see gymnastics and ballerinas and stuff too I pretty much see the same and it just doesn't make sense

Technical and difficulty. My sister did gymnastics and it's just subjective as hell. You get extra points for Grace and body type

No homo but when u watch the olympics on the regular you can see the difference between a good gymnast or a bad one, or good dive and bad one. For example in a dive the less splash = higher mark. Its little things like that
