Back when everyone was getting red rings.Who the hell thought of that shyt? :mindblown:

Take a towel, wrap it around around your 360 with the power on,let it sit and overheat and it will work again :mindblown:

Did this shyt happen by accident? I remember it kept my 360 breathing for a few extra months after i did it.

The legend goes:

One day an Xbot was wiping off his tears of ongoing disappointment in his console and wondering why he didn't buy a PS3. During his bout with depression his Xbox finally decided life was no longer worth living if all it was going to do was cause its owner anguish, so it flashed the red ring of death and committed to a life in a dumpster.
The gamer, on the cusp of desperation, took the towel full of tears and wrapped his Xbox up for it's imminent burial. As he cradled the Xbox wrapped in a towel and rocked it back and forth crying, the power button grazed his belly and the Xbox came back to life.

Same way we had creative ways of fixing nes carts. I remember I tried everything to get my double dragon III cart to work but we was so desperate to play it so we put it in the freezer for a r and then it worked afterwards

Well, its because your gpu would essential lose contact with the board, over heating it allows the substance on the bottom of the gpu to somewhat remelt, dry and form a new connection.

You can do the same thing by sticking 2 q tips in the fans. I did it last year right before I traded my 360 into best buy for 200 :ahh:

I tore my 360 apart and cleaned it all up and applied a new thermal paste to it. Kept it alive for another year or two.

Man by the time mine red ringed on me I had finally gotten a 60 gb PS3. that 360 collected dust. I think I had like 7 games total on it :dead:

I thought about modding it but then the ps3 jailbreak came out and was way easier :yeshrug:

I kept my xbox on for almost a year with this trick...only problem was when you got a new game and it had to install an update, you would have to towel trick it again and again sometimes.
