Definite hit piece.

Spotify has not had one profitable year. They lose over a100 million each year.

All of these companies operate off the how that their competition dies one day or merges cheaply.

Spotify on pace to grow revenue 40% this year, according to report

Another example, Uber loses a shyt ton of money every year with that same hope.

They put that much effort and didn't point out a bunch of key things for a reason.

His goal was to make a fortune from streaming

nah he never intended to go head to head.. he specifically wanted apple to buy him.. apple said :hubie: and now Jay picking up the pieces... why do u think he took that puma job.. this streaming shyt is a bluff..he waiting on a buyout

The agenda is clear as day but it is what it is. Let this be a lesson for any black entrepreneur. These people are cool with you so long as you stick to selling your little hippity hop music and your little "street" clothes and making people laugh and shyt.

But as soon as you step into their arena, they ain't havin it.

Spotify got criticized all the time for losing money. There's nothing to criticize Apple Music about right now. Tidal...lost. That's just the reality of the situation. And now it's mainly just the last battleground for Hov's ego, where he fudges numbers to pretend like he's still going plat. You see what what happen with Hits Daily Double yesterday and today, where they took down estimates for the album because somebody got mad?
Lol at comparing discussions of a unicorn not turning profit to calling people crack dealers that don’t pay artists in 20 articles. When there’s 2000 artists that got late or no payments from Spotify as well.

It’s an obvious hit piece, two-three journalists from one paper from the country in which Jay bought the thing has for 3 years being the only people constantly coming up with things until now that their shyt finally got some reach and all people do is refer to them. It’s the same type of method that NY Post used regarding baseball/Scott boras thing to discredit Roc Nation Sports.

As far as losing, he still cheaply bought a tech service added users up to the millions and got SoftBank/Sprint to 10x up its value. As a side job, If that’s an L, I don’t know if I’ll ever win :mjlol:

And he doesn’t go platinum due to Tidal, it was because a company purchased a million copies. Just like with MCHG, however with that he also sold like 2 mill. 4:44 did 200 something on tidal and Apple and 400 something in traditional sales. Nothing on other services. RIAA doesn’t care about who buys, billboard #s do.

I really want to like Tidal because I like the layout, but it’s so buggy

It takes a whole 60 secs to play the next song. It kills my whole vibe

I switch over the Applemusic and it plays back to back songs seamlessly like a cd
Ask yourself why people on the iPhone have this problem but those on androids don't

One of the more amusing things is to watch you wildly speculate and pretend that you know what you're talking about. You do this on every tidal topic and it is hilarious. That aside TIDAL isn't even the third biggest streaming service. That would be Amazon Music. You guys are weirdos. Lol @ no issues with Apple Music.

Spotify never made a dime and has a HQ with a 700 million rent bill or some shyt, but somehow its all good :dead::russ::mjlol:

Apple Music probably A-ok bc they can throw the bag at whoever artist and people are tied in to their ecosystems with phones and computers. Just another way to get people interested in their products

Google Play Music is another b*stard stepchild app that got left behind by Google :mjcry:. They just want the data nothing else

Profit is not a requirement to run a business. A business just needs to be able to pay their bills when they come due.

Promotional purposes? You know Elizabeth Holmes is about to go to jail for a long time for lying to shareholders and potential investors about her company's alleged success, among other things (like, fraud) lol. That's a slippery slope. I understand "rounding up" to make your company look better, but doubling your subscription base projections? Nah.

I agree that Jay faces unfair criticism based on being a black man doing things he's not supposed to be doing. And I think competitors and potential buyers inflate Tidal's problems in order to hurt the company. But first off, Jay doesn't own Tidal. Second off while all the streaming sites have fukkery going on, why does Tidal's fukkery only seem to benefit Hov, his wife, and (previously) Kanye? That's not good business, it's a scam.

LIKE I SAID, what I was referencing was the article pointing out Jay-Z's TWEETING out membership numbers. I also said Twitter is a promotional platform, not an earnings report or a meeting with shareholders with obligations to report the facts. Elizabeth Holmes was a Silicon Valley darling and a WHITE WOMAN. This ain't got shyt to do with how they're coming at Jay so don't come to me with that bullshyt. He can Tweet whatever the fukk he wants to promote his platform. That's what the article was referencing when they said "Jay-Z's Bad Math"

But the coli told me Jay Z got tidal for 50m and Sprint purchased 33% for 200m :jbhmm:

Unless that press release was a lie :jbhmm:

Hov did say he owned the nets :jbhmm:

Plus tidals numbers have always been sketchy that billboard didn't use their reports :jbhmm:
