I find it hard to actually get an online fan base. How do you build your online pressence without spamming on websites?

get a soundcloud, Link it to your band camp /websites/ youtube etc

find blogspots/bandcamps that make mixtapes for the music you make, get in contact with them and have your music published their as well.

Exactly... no amount of being active online will replace good old fashioned hard work in the streets. Start making yourself known offline & your online presence will start growing as well...

If you show love and follow people and comment on their stuff, they will show love back. Also link your soundcloud to a twitter and/or facebook account so every time you post something new it will appear on those sites as well.

I have a decent followin on soundcloud, but to be honest it dont mean shyt, if u aint got a followin in real life
