The following is a great plan for ultimately reducing gang shootings and shooting victims in Chicago.
If you think differently please share your thoughts on why this wouldn't work.

Groups of undercover minority officers in groups of 3-4 (no larger)
Walk on foot in gang hot zones, congregate in PUBLIC AREAS of known gang hot zones.

These officers will be supported by 2 undercover mobile units in vans with 2 officers in each.

I feel that the gang problem is SO BAD that in a given weekend these officers on foot will be approached by a rival gang and shot at. It's the police's job to then be the police and take down the bad guys.

*This is an extremely dangerous job for these officers.
Few will want to do this job, but some might.

My theory is that if these undercover Shooter Baits become known and they kill some shooters or arrests some shooters or those in violation of hang gun laws, gang members might become LESS LIKELY to shoot on people at random.
