How to help the community?

What are some areas that normal citizens like us can help out with?

My mom runs a basketball camp so I'm hoping to get her more people and help benefit a couple families' lives as well.

It's on my 2013 to do list so I might as well start brainstorming.

I helped with an after school tutoring program funded by the district schools. It was a big facility so when they were done they could go to the gym and play. Damn these little boys sure know how to play ball... I was lookin at them like lol..

This upcoming year I'm gettin involved too.. IDK what I'll be doing lol, I just know its something to help communities.

Best way to help would be starting businesses to hire people in your community and pay them livable wages.

this site inspires me to do better, I have free time on my hands so why not? Better than complaining about it plus I was talking about this with a friend today.

What do you like to do? There are a lot of volunteer opportunities out there that cater to different interests. I enjoy counseling, so I volunteer with this organization as a mentor for people who were recently released from prison, helping them to reintegrate into their communities.
